There are several conversations going on here on LAD that I would like to participate more in. But..., I am extremely busy at the moment. Hopefully this will change in a couple of weeks.
I am doing some remodeling on the outside of my house (new siding and widows and some other stuff as well) and want to get that done before school starts. Also, I am very busy at work trying to get work from the Federal Government and bringing in a new project that will expand the company quite a bit. And preparing for another surgery on Cienna's ear, this means running back and forth to Ann Arbor and Mott's Hospital (U of M). Which takes up most of the day each time I go.
If you remember, last year we tried to have Cienna's ear drum reconstructed. The first surgery ended up having a hole in it, and she had the exact same problem as before. We did keep infections to one time, but this resulted in more hearing loss. Then we tried what is called a "paper patch" to repair the hole on the new drum, but that didn't take. So, we are going to have the ear drum reconstructed again and try to replace the earlier surgery with a good ear drum. Her surgery will be on Aug. 13, please pray for her and that the surgery will be successful. Thank you.
And then last night my daughter Kelly called me and said that Leah, my granddaughter (8 year old), had passed out and was turning blue. She was at a Christian camp for kids staying the weekend. They thought she was having an asthema episode. My wife took off last night about 10 pm to meet my daughter at the hospital to see what was going on. As it turned out, Leah was OK but couldn't remember what had happened to her. The emergency room was busy and at least a six hour wait to see a doctor was the best they could offer. My daughter took Leah home and will take her to the doctor this morning. Please pray for her as well.
Thanks for your prayers.
