First of all, welcome to LAD. I hope you find it a pleasant place. :bigtup:

I don't think the mayor is overstepping his authority. That is, he is trying to protect the towns citzens. If they don't like it, then they should take legal action against him. But I doubt that would happen without the ACLU or some group like that. :BigB:
