Thanks for asking. Surgery went well. Cienna is doing very good, a little cranky. The doctor took some extra time in the surgery to take steps to make it have a better chance of success. It was a long day because of that, and I was in the waiting room from 11 AM to almost 7:30 PM last night. But, I have to say, it is all worth it for me if we can save her hearing and prevent anymore loss. She is always the loudest kid, and the one in trouble most of the time because of that. People don't realize that she is just talking at the level she thinks is normal. Add to that, she is the one that wants to "mother" the other kids and is always right smack dab in the middle of every dispute and problem. Anyone that has had kids knows how those dynamics work out and how the "mother" is the one that trys to control all of the other kids.
Sorry for the ramble, she is doing very good. I appreciate your prayers and concern.

Wow...long surgery. I pray it all goes well for her. And having three daughters, I completely understand the "mothering," (translate to bossy bessy...hahaha...at least in our family).
I used to be a soft talker, but my mother-in-law is very hard of hearing now, wears hearing aids, and since I'm the one that talks to her the most, I find myself being loud in normal situations...lol. I have to keep reminding myself that these people can hear me!! Maybe this will help Cienna...our youngest was the one always in trouble because she never would take up for herself. I guess there's one in every family :biglol: .

Yep..., bossy bessy and there is one in every family. You got that right. And it not only goes toward her siblings, but all kids that enter her realm and any adults that she figures she can manipulate. And she figures it out fast. :medium-smiley-010:
