I understand what you are saying and you are right, she has every right to protest, but banning certian books is taking it way too far. Just like you said, if Palin supposedly did ban those books, she would essentialy be taking away freedom of expression from those ceritan groups. I wonder if I can ban Palin from being running mate for John McCain, though if we did such things, we would be taking away her rights from what the consitution protects. So it isn't anyone responsibilty to restirct anyones opinion just tolerance.
Tho, thanks to our good friend "raderag" who has correct me, we now know she isn't accused anymore, tho it is till left for questioning.
It is your right to protest her being McCain's running mate. And the best place to do that is at the voting polls, no one can force you to vote for a McCain and Palin ticket. I am not sure if I will vote for them, although I do like Palin because just by her presence she has shown the hypocrisy of the Liberals. George Bush did the same thing when he appointed minorities and women to serve in his administration. They are not concerned with minorities or womens issues, they are concerned with an agenda to push a political idealology that is strickly centered in their own power being over everyone that disagrees with them.

Indeed. The real benefactors of socialism are the ruling class, not the middle class.

I would agree with you here, and the hardest to reach with the message of repentance are the self-righteous and religous, those who just can't believe they are bad people. We must realize that we are all worthy of hell, and we are saved by grace.

How about Biden's foot in the mouth lapse of judgement when he told Sen. Chuck Graham to stand up and take a bow..., he is in a wheelchair. http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/36/36_12_23.gif (http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb001_ZSYYYYYYYYUS)
The Dem's were doing it in full force yesterday. http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/12/12_6_11.gif (http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb001_ZSYYYYYYYYUS)
Personally I think they have to forget Palin, and not even mention her, because it will backfire and drive sympathy toward the McCain/Palin ticket. http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/15/15_19_35.gif (http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb001_ZSYYYYYYYYUS)

Or that FDR got on the TV after the stock market crashed.
The crash was in '29... Hoover was President.... FDR died in 45.... TV came about in 47 I think.

I think maybe we've just seen the main difference between McCain's core concerns and Obama's. McCain suspends his campaign to head back to DC to see what can be done about this economic crisis. Obama wants to continue to talk about it. What's interesting to me is that people are ridiculing McCain for his choice, while to me, it says he's more concerned about his country's welfare than he is about just giving speeches about it.
The bias of the media on this whole campaign is just mind-boggling. Obama seems to be the golden boy and is rarely, if ever, asked some really really hard-hitting questions, while McCain's campaign is practically ripped apart in the mainstream media. They seem to want to be all PC and everything where Obama is concerned, but they've been all over Palin like she's a plague. You can bet your bottom dollar that if Obama had chosen a relatively unknown woman as his running mate, they'd have been gushing all over them. Sheesh...
I'm sitting here watching the Today show and the way McCain's campaign gal is being treated vs. the way Obama's is, is telling.
What troubles me more is that if McCain should actually win the Presidency, the media will probably not be supportive, and as hard as it is to stomach, the media does indeed make or break many decisions involving this country and our needs.
Sigh...this election is looking more and more like a no-win situation everyday (always has, but even moreso now).

Teri,
The McCain thing seems good on the surface, but why wasn't he there last week? It was just as big of an issue then. McCain has almost dog in this fight anyway as he is not on any of the committees dealing with this. His only job is to vote.
The debate is very important... McCain should go. You can't put a campaign on hold just as you can't put an election on hold.

Obama's people were complaining that McCain beat them to the punch and said he was going to go to Washington. They said it was to make Obama look bad for political reason. They are now the Johnny come lately's. http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/18/18_1_34.gif (http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb001_ZSYYYYYYYYUS)

On the news while ago it was stated that President Bush invited both of them to come. I'm not sure of the time line, but, personally I could care less about the campaign at this point. Delaying (not cancelling) a debate until this bail out is in writing and we know what we're dealing with seemed like the wise choice to me. How can they even address the issues for sure until it's been decided? This will be a vital part of the Presidency, and it's kind of hard to talk about it until it's understood. They'd just be answering questions about it on the fly.
I'm not pro-McCain necessarily, but I'd much rather have someone willing to work on an immediate problem (and it is definitely immediate), than making speeches to tell me why to vote for them. Actions speak louder than words in most cases.

Yeah, I'm about sick to death of this celebrity status Obama's attained. Puleeze. You'd think this was the Oscars instead of the position of Commander-in-Chief.

I love what Palin did with the Alaska windfall oil tax money...
It make every citisen of Alaska like a share holder. Palin returned an effective dvidend of $1,200 per person in Alaska last year. Next year dividend is estamted to be up to $2,000.
Check it out : Windfall tax lets Alaska rake in billions from Big Oil (http://seattletimes.nwsource.com/html/localnews/2008103325_alaskatax07.html)

I think Palin won hands down, but the drive-by media is attempting to spin it in Biden's favor. They are so biased, the media should register as Obama agents.
