To Our Mormon Visitors and the Visiting Apologists against Mormonism,
The Mission of LAD has always been to be a group of Christian believers who have a common vision of growing in Christ and sharing the goal of the Christianity. LAD is considered a professional forum with highly educated theologians posting their work and others who have an interest in Protestant and Reformation theology. Our desire is to keep with that vision, despite the recent interest in LDS theology and topics.
The Regents have come to the decision that we do not see any reason to continue allowing others who do not share our goals the use of LAD that would be contrary to that goal and at our expense. It is not the purpose of LAD to allow everyone that comes to this forum to be members and undertake apologetics for the sake of apologetics. The recent LDS discussions seem to have served their purpose and are not within the vision of LAD and it's goals of presenting Christianity. Nor is it our purpose to enter into endless debates with folks that want to debate the same issues over and over again. Instead, LAD is for the purpose of LAD members to be edified and find some useful fellowship with those in Christ. We would recommend that it would be more appropriate to take the discussions to other forums that would be more suited for the purpose of apologetics and religious comparisons. There are many that can be easily found with a search on the web.
With this in mind we regret to inform our Mormon Visitors, that your User privileges will be terminated within 24 hours from LAD. If you should some day come to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ, upon public announcement and at least one year of postings demonstrating such a change, you may return.
