LAD has a Wiki. I am wondering how this feature will work out for our Members. Please share your work with us and lets build a good database that we can all refer to and use in our witness.

Blessings.

Okay, so can we add to the articles already there? I mean as far as adding other articles? Or do we discuss over that particular article and create another one (like for instance on Spurgeon..do we just discuss or can we add other related articles)? I've never contributed anything to Wiki, so I'm clueless.

If you have more to add to the article you should be able to edit it. If you have related articles then you can add your own article. The discussion area's are to ask questions, make comments, very much like our blogs.

The fun thing about the wiki is that it ( should ) autoparse everything in the Wiki. If you write an article with say...Jesus in the article body it should reference the Wiki article ( from the Title of the article ) on Jesus Christ by autolinking it. As the Wiki grows and becomes more complex it's a tremendous reference tool.

As with any new software though...there are going to be some interesting issues. Ted is currently working on the autolink feature.

Before we add much more, I may purchase the software tonight. It is a higher version and I am not sure how it will handle the data already there. Also, I am having some other issues with the software as it is now. But the support from this company has been outstanding so far.

Hang on folks. I have to start over. http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/4/4_11_10.gif (http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb001_ZSYYYYYYYYUS)

I am buying the full version and installing this over, give me a couple of hours. The features on the full version are much better, and these folks have been excellent as far as their support.

Carl, I apologize to you as you already had some work involved. But I think we might as well start fresh and with a good version. http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/36/36_1_67.gif (http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb001_ZSYYYYYYYYUS)

LOL...no worries at all my brother. I can redo them and most of my posts were to test the functionality of the wiki so I could warn you of issues. We're blessed that you are willing to purchase the full version!

Poor John...what are you going to do when I post all 20+ pages of Piper on Justification? :wwink:

I'm just talking about the background graphics.

Patterns behind text can make it hard to read. At least for my 45 year old eyes. :crying:

So I prefer solid backgrounds for text and not patterns ;-)

The Wiki is part of the board so the color scheme ( and textures ) are the same. I don't see an option to make it different from the rest of the board by itself. It might require another "theme" being created or several ( like "LAD Dark" ). The "Clean Blue Fixed" works quite well with it.

I am talking to the authors of the software, and waiting for their help. I am sure it will get resolved within a couple of days, they have been very supportive so far. :sparkle:
