This is not an attack on Michelle Obama. It is just another indictment on the American press.

Who's dresses cost more?
What is Michelle Obama going to do with her dresses?
You will not hear these questions from our press...

Good point. BTW, who pays for the First Lady's dresses for this event? :bigthink:

Wow, what a party! How does this compare to both Clinton and “W”?

Hi Jo,
Those are questions that I posed are NOT questions that our USA press would ask of any Democrat. But for them to ask a Republican the same thing is open game.

Thanks. Yeah the press never plays fair.
Even the war that happened recently between Israel and Hammas in Gaza, all we got from our press in the UK was mostly constant attacks and slander against Israel yet they never portrayed what had been done to Israel before this war took place. I prayed for both sides while this was going on of course, but what a LOT of propoganda from the UK press most of the time. They constantly portrayed Israel in a bad light. This really  me.
Bless you in the Lord brother,
Jo.

Yep, the press will say that during this incursion, Israel killed 1300 and lost 13. They forget the past 8 years where Israel was regularly getting attacked by these folks (launched missles, bombs, etc)...

I think that Israel has started a just war. They are protecting their citizenry and borders. The countries around them do nothing more than give lip service and allow criminals and terrorist to remain within their borders.
It is an action done after much patience by the Israeli's.

As I watched the balls last night one thing became obvious. One skill that Barack Obama has not mastered is ballroom dancing. He would never make it on "Dancing with the Stars."

Well frankly, I don't care. I wish our press wouldn't talk about these sort of issues at all.

Katie Couric is horrible. So, she should not have gone on their. It is her (and her advisors) fault. Couric is who she is. She should have gone on Leher news hour or Charlie Rose. They would have treated her fairly.

And, speaking from a woman's point of view, the dresses Obama's wife wore were dowdy. She should have taken some fashion lessons from Sarah Palin - never saw here dressed in anything that didn't make her look good.

I learned that word in junior high school and never ever used it one single time or do I recall ever hearing anyone ever using it.
You get the award tonight Carol for using the word. http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/4/4_17_6.gif (http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb001_ZNxdm824MNUS)

They use it in my part of the Country, too (Oklahoma)...quite a lot to this day...lol. Err..and yeah they kept saying on TV how she was like a ray of sunshine, so forward in her dressing in "lemongrass" color, etc. And my first thought was exactly what you said...dowdy and matronly...bleh. Course, no one ever accused me of being a fashion hound either..:medium-smiley-010:
