Now that Dem's have the presidency, the press is now saying don't expect too much from our new president. Though, up until now, he has been treated as some kind of messiah.

I think the problem is that you are treating the press as some sort of monolithic entity. The article you linked to was from politico, which has been a fairly honest broker throughout the election cycle. Some of the media (i.e. MSNBC and NYT) have treated Obama like he is the second coming of Christ. Other media such as CNN and FOX have tried to do a professional job, but biases always tend to come out.
I'll say that CNN has done the best job so far.
Here (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bgQQ7_BAUaE)is one example.
Here (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WrvrfG0zE6E&feature=related)is part 2. (part 2 is a better example)
The people on the FOX morning show should all be lined up and shot.

I have a friend who thinks that CNN is far more FAIR AND BALANCED than FOX. I think they are opposite sides of the same coin.
I don't see the morning show. So I can't comment.
I was appalled on election night with comments that I heard from the CNN contingency. I saw FOX as being more even keeled. Perhaps because they new the outcome and decided to be newsmen and newswomen instead of Editorialists.

This was just an example. For the last few weeks, I have started hearing more of the, "Don't expect much right away" stuff. If I come across a good example, I'll post it.

Yep, from every "source" on the airwaves. In fact, it started right after he was elected. At first he was quoted as acknowledging that his promise of getting the troops out of Iraq in 16 months was probably not well thought out, but he was surely going to start on it right away and not just leave them there. Mmmmm k. Then it was..well with the economy the way it is, we've got to get this stimulus thing going. Mmmmm..k. And now it's...well the stimulus may not get started right away because it isn't a slam-dunk; he has opposition. Well no kidding. Mmmmmm..k.
I think what chaps me the most about all the media is that they report as though we are absolute idiots out here listening. Good grief...how bout some meat. We're grown ups, we can handle it, I promise we can...oh, and most of us have at least finished high school. :medium-smiley-141:
This has been coming from literally every radio station or tv station I've listened to over the past few months.

I would agree with your friend. I think FOX is far more biased than CNN is. CNN is very professional, and shows some bias, but FOX tends to show their biases more than CNN.

.
ITs called Fox and Friends. Its terrible.
I'm not a fan of Bill O'Reilley and his self importance either.

Sorry if that came across wrong. The comment about "lined up and shot" snapped me into memory. Personally I'd rather they be convicted and change thier ways.

CNN unbiased? Is that the CNN in America?
FOX's morning line-up is just plain dumb. However, the political views as a whole on FOX are far more in line with reality than the liberal CNN. Of course, NBC is and has been Obamasized beyond repair.

Everyone has biases. It is my observation that in general, CNN has done a more professional job in seeing that their biases are kept in check.
Fox's biases are out there for everybody to see.
Are Fox's biases better than CNN's? Perhaps, but that isn't the point; who does a better job of fairly covering the news?
Fox does a really good job of promoting neo-Conservatism. Karl Rove and Dick Morris are 2 of their main political consultants. They are both political hacks.
Did anybody see Shepard Smith cover the Blago (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RpaRxl_SC0s)press conference. That was not journalism. What a joke.

Well, whenever I have watched CNN I have not noted any conservative outlook whatsoever. At least FOX has Glen Beck and Huckabee, not to mention Sean Hannity. O'reilly seems to have sold out in some areas, and I wouldn't call him a true conservative.

Why do you need to see a conservative outlook.
None of those you mentioned are what I would call conservative thinkers.
They are just hacks.
