Well, Obama lied the other day when he said there was no "pork" in the Spending bill he's trying to sell the country. Also, what about sneaking in electronic medical records into this bizarro package?

I worked for the state for years Once your medical information is inputed into a Federal computer system, you can kiss your privacy good-bye, despite HIPPA laws.

And, when you have the info in the compter, you always have to have hard copies to back that up - so it's all bogus. A paper file will still exist, probably in some Federal file.

And what about medical decisions being made based on your projected viability, medical history, and age? If you aren't that useful, are getting on in years, and have a chronic disease likely to end in your demise, perhaps your treatment will be less than a younger person with a good medical history. This stuff is Orwellian. It's the first step in full Government control of your medical care.

And who knows whether or not at some date the computer medical info won't be made available to potential employers - who after all should know about your medical condition before hiring you. Are you overweight? Do you smoke (even at home)? Do you have diabetes or are you pre-diabetic?

Why was this stuff included in a supposed "stimulus" package, which is nothing but a bill that will eventually lead to complete Marxist-type socialism? I'll tell you why, because Tom Dashle, in his recent book, advised the next Democrat administration to impose socilized medicine on this nation a quickly as possible, even by attaching it as pork to governmetn bills.

If we aren't in the end times, then I'd hate to know what the Last Days will be like!

I'm telling you, once the government gets a hold of your records, you can kiss your privacy, freedom and economic security adios (as we say here in the SW)! If the Supreme Court could justify aborting pre-born children due to an unwritten Constitutional "right to privacy," I think our right to privacy precludes government intrusion into our peronal lives via their 'Big Brother' computers.

This whole bill is scary. And your right, once the government is in control of health care, abortions are going to seem tame.
