I am sorry to here of the passing of your father, Brett. I will pray for your family and that God will give your mother peace and strength. May she know the joy of the Lord and the hope of the resurrection to come.

I appreciate it Ted, I really do.

I can tell you this from my experience. After the initial sorrow, when my dad died, my family was filled with much joy and hope as time went on. The Lord had brought to us a lot of comfort that turned into real appreciation for His grace. And now, when we talk about my dad, we laugh at the stories we tell and appreciate the time we had with him. And truly, he lives on in each one of his children, as we all realize how much we are becoming just like he was with our prejudices, quirks and personality traits. My two oldest brothers, now in their 70's, are even starting to look like he looked in his 70's.
