So...how is it that we let a madman dominate the floor for 90 minutes, spewing anti-American rhetoric and calling President Obama "our son" as he rambles on? The fact that Muammar Gaddafi was allowed this privilege is frightening. This is the guy who wants to push the button so bad he can't stand it. And all us white folk are the enemy. He even went so far as to say that we needed to keep this President forever so that the white people wouldn't go back to their old ways. In the midst of the UN countries....on American soil....and being applauded.

And then we have Ahmadinejad smiling through the teeth of a wolf and addressing the same UN countries! The President of Iran for cryin out loud!

Unbelievable.:L27:

They are members of the UN.

I just came back from NYC and I was told by those watching that they did try to stop Gaddafi. They were flashing red stop light at him, sent him a note to stop, etc. He just kept rambling on.

It is not something "we let" happen. This is the UN. We are not in charge.

It does seem the Gaddafi is indeed "flaky" as Reagan put it. And it sounds like he sources Reverend Jeremiah Wright for his information. Or maybe its the other way round.

When they speak of Western greed and materialism, I think they are close to the truth, maybe closer than we want to admit.

So anyone that's a member can get up there and just ramble for hours (theoretically) and there's no recourse? I figured there were at least time limits.

At any rate, it may end up being a good thing since it's obvious he has a problem. Course, that was obvious 2 or 3 decades ago but.......

Flaky is a compliment. :L34: I can remember the country (in fact the world) being almost to the point of terror back, what?...20 years ago, something like that, because he was giddy with the prospect of nuclear power to obliterate the infidels...particularly the U.S.

I'd have to agree about the greed and materialism. But we are definitely NOT the enemy of all peoples who are not U.S. born.

There is a time limit and they tried to get him to stop. He was ignoring them.

But then he is he head of a sovereign state and you just do not handcuff him and drag him away.

People worldwide know he is a bit deranged.

What do you do? Seriously. I've never actually heard of anything like this happening before.

I guess we could view him like the doddering old uncle who lives in a world in his mind...if it wasn't for the fact that the guy IS a head of a sovereign state with an itchy trigger finger.

There is this thing called grace...

We can just laugh and ignore it.

Do they talk or demand? :L6:
Whatever it is, it's only talk. They have no teeth in the mouth. And I agree :L6:

(As for pres. Godflyofi, I think that what whatever he may have to say is for the most part of little relevance.)
