We rented it and watched last night. I gotta say that a lot of the history of the RCC Prof. Langston (Tom Hanks) talked about was correct. But there was one part where I just had to chuckle. He was meeting with the Cardinals and was talking about this anagram that had been placed at a murder scene. It read Illuminati. He started in with how the church has persecuted those in the organization centuries ago, how they branded them, etc. The Cardinals were all looking at him with perplexed expressions, and he said...what's the matter with you people, you don't even know you're own history (paraphrase). I had to laugh cause it's so true, and then it was a sobering thought that they aren't the only ones who don't know their own history. Probably 75% of Protestantism doesn't either!
Anyway, it's a good movie if you like whodunits and enjoy seeing the cathedral settings and all.
