The Belgic Confession

This Confession was penned by several preachers of the Christian Reformed Church. The cheif author being the martyr Guido de Bres an itenerate preacher in the Lowlands of the Netherlands which is known as Belgium. Thus The Belgic Confession or Neatherlands Confession as it is sometimes called. This Confession is the oldest confession of the Christian Reformed Church and was composed in 1561. This is the first Confession of the Three Forms of Unity, which also contains the Heidelberg Catechism and the Canons of Dort.
