I felt a bang this morning and woke up. Thinking someone may have ran a vehicle in to my house, I laid and waited to hear if what I thought was true. Nope. Did not hear any follow up noise. Then I thought maybe my sump went off. It is a loud one. Nope. That did not sit well with me.

I get downstairs later on and on the news was the area where the earthquake was. The epicenter was close to my son's university. I work in a place where people live all over Northern Illinois - Rockford, Machesney Park, Elgin, Byron etc etc They all felt it too.

I guess it was about a 4.3

They've been having those, about that same strength, in central Oklahoma. Weird.
