On another board using this same software (VBulletin), I was told that the powers that be read some of the private messages of the members. After reviewing this software I can tell all of our users that LAD will not view your private messages and has no desire to do so. What you say in private to other members is none of our business, and I promise to all of our members that we will not implement any such program here on LAD.

You are welcome to criticize us publicly and privately, as I am sure we will not please all of our members all of the time. And I am open for criticism privately as well, in private messages. I am sure I will offend people on occasion and am open to correction, and I'll state the obvious, I am not infallible nor care to present myself in any such manner.

One last point, I see no such method of reading private messages with VBulletin as it is sold, I am not aware of all the features but see no such feature with it as it is sold. This feature may be an add on that is available from Vbulletin though, but I will assure all of our members we do not read, nor do we care to read your private messages to each other.

Blessings.

Since this came up privately, as it seems that some one's PM's were read on another forum, this is still the LAD policy. I have seen an add-on to vBulletin that allows the owner to read all emails and PM's sent through the software. I will not sink to that level.

Blessings.

Whew... good because you'd just die if you read all the bad stuff I say about you privately... die laughing that is.
