This is Ashley.

She is a 9 year old Congo African Grey parrot.
In addition to striking a pose for the camera, she likes to say hello and ask whatcha doin' :

This was taken recently out near one of our pastures. It's a little hard to see, but it's a double. It actually became a triple but was just too faint to show up.

Ooooh wow, it makes the world underneath look like it is being kept under a dome of refuge. Even the sky is brighter

It does, doesn't it? I'm always amazed at these displays of nature that God gives us.

lol...no, but there are parts of Oklahoma where people are probably starting to wonder! Wow at the rain we've had this year!

Yeah, it's been on the news up here quite a bit. In the part of Michigan I live in we are in a drought of sorts. We haven't had any significant rain in a couple of months and everything is turning that burned up late summer brown... already.

Sing unto the LORD with thanksgiving; sing praise upon the harp unto our God: Who covereth the heaven with clouds, who prepareth rain for the earth, who maketh grass to grow upon the mountains. He giveth to the beast his food, and to the young ravens which cry. He delighteth not in the strength of the horse: he taketh not pleasure in the legs of a man. The LORD taketh pleasure in them that fear him, in those that hope in his mercy. (Psa 147:7-11 KJV)

Amen. Great scripture.

About four years ago (maybe 5, can't remember for sure) nearly all the ponds around here went dry. Even those of us with wells were having to haul water to the cattle because the water table was drying up as well. People sold cattle by the truck loads. Now everything has been more than replenished. Pretty amazing how God works, eh?

You all have been having uncommon heat, too, haven't you? We're still in the high 80s and low 90s here. Usually we're into triple digits by this time.

We had a couple of days when we got into the mid-90's. But so far this summer, as far as where I am at, we have had the most beautiful summer I can remember. For the last to years we ran our air condition from June to September, but this year we have only had it on for just a few days. Almost all of the days have been mid-70's to low 80's. How can you beat that?

BTW, this weekend is our Hot Air Balloon Festival. Check it out.

Hmmm...it comes from a Photobucket link. Lemme try it through LAD's attachment feature. Maybe you can view it then. Just click on it to get the full pic.

Cool! Antique tractors, too! My husband loves to watch "Classic Tractors" on TV..lol.

I was thinking, for some reason, that you all had had unseasonably warm weather. Shows how much attention I pay :-P. Some places in OK are having tremendous flooding problems. It's a very weird weather pattern. We haven't gotten that much out here where I live, although some places near us have.

Hey.. That thumbnail feature is pretty cool.

I don't recall seeing that on these kind of forums before.

For some reason I'm having a hard time getting my replies in the right spot on this particular board...LOL...sheesh.

The thumbnail works well, doesn't it? I can't remember how much space Ted upped the photo allotment to here a while back.
