No telling. I lost any taste for his arguments long ago. Probably about the time we were all discussing tattoos, (years ago over on the old boards) and he said he'd divorce his wife if she ever got one. He wasn't kidding. He was asked specifically if he was, and he said he wasn't, that tattoos were forbidden. I had to bite my fingers to keep from asking how one could commit adultery with a tattoo :medium-smiley-134:
And don't even get me started on rudeness

Forget CARM, it is a mess. Move on to better things. :medium-smiley-011:

I took the time to browse some posts at CARM and I was turned off again. Most everybody over there is perpetually pissed off and ready to fight. I don't understand it.
And no, I didn't cuss. That's the king's English.

Are you showing your true colors there or here?
On CARM, you posted that you can "sympathize"; but here you mock him.
What's up with that?

Hi John,
What makes you think I was mocking him? Seriously, I wanted him to relate one issue to the other.
Be careful in judging others motives.
You should have emailed me before posting this. 'Tis ashame.

I've also found other places to be online. After volunteering for almost two years at carm, being banned and de-modded was just what I needed to broaden my horizons. God is good. All the time. :medium-smiley-011:
I don't see any familiar faces here from the chatroom, which is where I was. But if anyone would like to hear about another chatroom, pm me. I'll give you the link. There will be other familiar faces there, too.
As for Matt getting the idea.... I wouldn't hold your breath, raderag. But, you never know.

Well, I was in the chatroom, raderag. That may be why I don't sound familiar to you.
I think I met you on the "Introduce Yourself", or the "Presby" forum.

Julie you can post about other forums and give a link to the chatroom. It doesn't threaten LAD if someone post a link to their own website or chatroom, as long as it isn't to some porn site or something lewd. If you find a nice forum let us all know. :medium-smiley-011:
Just for so people will know, LAD isn't here to build a great big huge following. Our goal is quite different, we are trying to be a good resource for Christians, and in particular Reformed folks. We don't asked for support from our members, as long as God provides we'll be here, He is our source.
BTW, if I haven't said so yet..., welcome to LAD.
Blessings. :sparkle:

BTW Julie, I am looking at software for a chatroom on LAD. I had one but didn't like the way it worked and integrated into the forum software. I kept running into problems. I been looking at FlashChat, as that is a supported software package and looks customizable for LAD's purpose.
Any recommendations? :bigthink:

There are a few of us here that once fell into the "mod" bucket until at least a couple of us saw through the thicket and realized the king was naked! It was unsightly to say the least.

Trav, you may no better than me, but the problem may be the power structure, and the fact that it gives certain people too much.

Hi Tallen,
Thank you for the welcome.
Dr Mac and I started this chatroom: www.STIL-chatting.com
Uses the same parachat program that carm uses. Just opened it today. We are not limiting it to reformed folks, tho. It's open to anyone who agrees with the evangelical statement.
Also, www.Haveatulip.com has a chatroom, also using parachat. They are for reformed folks only. Perhaps you want to talk with them. They're also looking at video/audio options. So, they may be more familiar with what else is out there.
Coffeecup has a chat program, too. Parachat seems pretty easy to use. They have different tiers for the different features. Depends what you're looking for.

Thanks Julie, I'll take a look at that chat program.
LAD is not just for Reformed folks, anyone that wants to join can. We have a Reformed forum though that is open to Reformed folks but one has to request entrance to get in.
I guess I better get this stuff back up so people can read it. :medium-smiley-010:

Well it's better to let you in so we can keep an eye on you rather than let you not be in and wonder what your doing. http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/36/36_11_6.gif (http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb001_ZSYYYYYYYYUS)

Well, I think the king granted the ma'am of the kingdom far too much leeway without conducting a thorough background check. Having said that, it is true that power tends to corrupt when it is unchecked and that should be expected when something supposed for the kingdom of God becomes a source of income. The "ministry" is about it's administration and not the Kingdom of God.
