If you have something that you would like to see on LAD, I am open to suggestions. It is slowly growing and there are many features and modifications to the program that are available. Too many in fact. Please let me know.

Blessings. :medium-smiley-011:

A reccomended reading list, maybe a compilation divided by topic, submitted by LAD members.

Actually Joe, that is a great idea. I will look into making up some kind of forum for this.

Perhaps we could have a LAD library of some kind and share books between the members. :bigthink:

What do you think?

I'd be scared somebody's books would get lost or damaged or not returned, then things could get ugly. That idea makes me nervous. :medium-smiley-134:

My personal theological library consists of only a few books, but thankfully there are a lot of really good free ones on the internet (http://www.monergism.com/free_online_books.php) :big_teeth_2:

Actually I was thinking more in line of having the members give their old books that they didn't want to LAD, and then if someone would want to read one it could be sent to them. I wouldn't want to intrude upon our sacred libraries, where all of the treasures are.

Yeah, same here. I have about fifty or so books that I use all the time and couldn't ever send out knowing that something may happen to them.

It is hard to download a book of 400 or 500 pages or so, and then read it on a computer screen. And printing something out like that would cost more than just buying a book.

But..., it was only a suggestion and wouldn't hurt my feelings one way or another. I would rather talk about bad ideas than do them. :big_teeth_2:

Would you like a copy of The Message to be the first library book?
If I still have it, I'd donate it; but i think it was thrown out. :medium-smiley-011:

Sure. I just filed away in storage a bunch of books and tapes that might be a nice addition as well. I will have to dig them back out.

I like this idea. An occasional short book report after reading a book (good, ok, or bad) might be nice too.

I am looking into some software that would add database capabilities to LAD. We could have a form that the members could file out for a recommended reading list, for instance, and then it would be displayed in a forum. Or we could have a receipe forum with a form that members could fill in and give their receipes, etc. It is quite functional for what we are considering here.

Hey this is the fun part of having a web site! :medium-smiley-011:
