I want to cook Christmas, but I have no clue what I want to cook. Tell me what your going to have so I can rip off some ideas. Please?

I requested a corned beef dinner when my wife asked what I wanted. She said she was going to fix "snackin" food (wings, meat balls, crackers, cheese, etc.) for Christmas eve and then Christmas afternoon we'll have the corned beef dinner.

Sounds pretty good to me. http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/36/36_27_8.gif (http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb001_ZNxdm824MNUS)

We're just having traditional...turkey, gravy, potatoes, canberry sauce, green beans (NOT casserole...lol), rolls, pumpkin pie, banana pudding, pecan pie. Munchies for snacks.

Christmas eve: Crab and salad

Christmas day: Pork tenderloin with raspberry sauce(incredibly easy to make); new potatoes with lemon butter; green beans (not the casserole, either.. *winking at Terri), rolls, (my mom's making dessert so i don't know what that will be yet; sis in law bringing salad).

Fruit and cheese plate for snacking.

We have decided to have a pull out all the stops Lasagna feast for Christmas this year rather than traditional Turkey or Country Ham.

My menu will be ...

Skewered spicy grilled shrimp and fried boudain balls for appetizers.
Sensation Salad .... greens tossed with a light oil and vinegar dressing with a generous portion of grated romano cheese.
Baked Sicilian Lasagna ... layered with a slow cook tomato sauce, crumbled Italian sausage, fresh spinach leaves, fresh mozzarella and Ricotta cheese.
Fresh uncut green beans.
Served with fresh baked Italian garlic bread
Cannolli for desert.
... and served with an Italian Chianti or Cali Chard.

Bon apetite

I could have done with some venison too, but never got to go hunting except for one day, and didn't kill a deer that day.

There are so many dear around my area that the county has hired professional hunters to come in at night a thin the heard. It is no bad it is a hazzard to drive in some areas.

Man that sounds really good. Asparugus would go good with the corned beef. http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/36/36_1_35.gif (http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb001_ZNxdm824MNUS)

I almost went brisket like Tallen, but wound up with eye of round roast cause it's cheaper. That with mashed taters, brussel sprouts with almonds, and homemade gravy. Apple pie with ice cream for desert. We're eating with the in-laws Christmas eve, don't know what they're fixin.

Thanks for the ideas. Some of you guys sound like Iron Chefs

They're like that here too. Doesn't speak well of my hunting skill. I always wonder why deer hang out at the shoulders of the road all night.
