A recent viewing of this old movie, starring Dusin Hoffman, reminded me of how much I enjoyed this movie the first time I saw it. This is an old movie from 1970 when the "political correctness" doctrine that we have today didn't exist, it is a comedy. And I have to say that I really enjoy the humor throughout, as it pokes fun at most of our societies ills. There is a relationship between Jack Crabb, the main character, and his adopted indian Grandfather that is shown throughout the movie. This is really an entertaining way to highlight the differences between societal world-views. If you can watch this old movie it is worth it, in my opinion, and will cause you to laugh on many occasions. Not for little kids as there is a lot of adult humor in it.

Not only funny but the movie is very sensitive and human. Even that short clip shows this. The humor isn't over the top nor does it attempt to yank you about. It's funny because it is. That is art. Compare it to something like "Blazing Saddles" and you'll see my point.

Little Big Man has been one of my favorites for a long time.

A couple years ago I even upgraded my video cassette to the CD version.

Edit to add : of course, I mean the DVD version - Lol

Man, 1970 was a long time ago. We were all much younger! Some of you probably weren't born yet.

Thanks for the movie remind, Ted. Fun clip.

I was in that blissful time where I'm grateful that I don't remember much. 2 is a wonderful age to be ignorant of. A time of diapers made of cloth and pins large enough to bring down a grizzly bear. :bigO:
